In September 1991 Armenia regained its
freedom and starting from that time every year September the 21st is celebrated
as the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia.

various entertainers celebrate Armenian Independence Day. The festivities began
with the Armenian national anthem. Then well-known Armenian performers
entertain the merrymakers. These performers sing traditional songs, while the
dancers wear national costumes to celebrate the local traditions of Armenia.
